RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - The president and chief executive officer of Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is stepping down at the end of March.

Frank Robinson has served as the Henrico County attraction’s top leader since October 2011. He previously served as executive director.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1At7PB2 ) reports that Robinson will become the garden’s president emeritus after he retires on March 31.

Executive director Shane Tippett assumed the top leadership job last week. Tippett will keep his current title.

The garden’s board has established the Frank L. Robinson Endowed Horticulture Chair in Robinson’s honor.
