OTTUMWA, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have been searching for a 24-year-old man charged in an arrest warrant with fatally shooting another Ottumwa resident.

Police say the victim was found in an Ottumwa street by officers dispatched after a 911 call around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say he died later at an Ottumwa hospital. He was identified as 25-year-old Roger Wiseman Jr.

A police spokesman said Monday morning that officers are still searching for 24-year-old Dustin McDanel. The warrant for his arrests lists the crime as first-degree murder. McDanel is considered armed and dangerous.
