NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - Vanessa Smith scored a career-high 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as No. 22 Princeton remained one of four unbeaten teams in women’s basketball after a 75-63 win over Hampton on Monday night.

Earlier in the day, Princeton moved into The Associated Press poll for only the second time in school history. The Tigers earned the first-ever ranking for an Ivy League team in the final poll of the 2012 season.

Michelle Miller had 15 points for Princeton (16-0) and Blake Dietrick added 12. The Tigers trailed by seven points in the first half, matching their largest deficit of the season.

Malia Tate-DeFreitas led Hampton (5-9) with 23 points. Kyani White had 19 points and Ryan Jordan 10. The Lady Pirates were held to 20-of-63 shooting (31.7 percent).

Top-ranked South Carolina, No. 3 Texas and 14th-ranked Mississippi State are the only other teams not to lose a game yet this season.
