PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police say officers fatally shot a dog that attacked them in the city’s Brewerytown section.

Police say two pit bulls went after the officers as they were responding to a report of dogs fighting around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

They say one of the dogs bit an officer on the arm. The officer is in stable condition at Hahnemann University Hospital.

Police say the officers used Tasers and guns to subdue one of the pit bulls. Animal control captured the other dog.
