BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Police are investigating the discovery of skeletal remains behind a Birmingham business.

Business owner Russell Williams tells WBRC-TV (https://bit.ly/1tCShob) that he found the skull and bones on Sunday, in woods behind his bike shop near Sixth Avenue and Sixth Street North.

Williams said the remains appeared to be intact.

Police on Sunday afternoon had roped off the area as they continued to investigate. Authorities have not said whether foul play is suspected.

Williams said he hopes investigators will be able to quickly identify the person and notify his or her family.
