HONOLULU (AP) - The summit areas of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on Hawaii’s Big Island have a fresh blanket of snow.

Hawaii News Now (https://is.gd/EoySPV) says the snow Sunday stems from a cold front that blew through the state over the weekend.

The road to the 13,796-foot Mauna Kea summit remained closed Sunday afternoon because of icy and windy conditions.
