PRINCETON, Iowa (AP) - Authorities in eastern Iowa say a 10-year-old dog is recovering after falling into the icy Mississippi River.
Princeton Police Chief Brian Carsten says Dolly the dog was playing in the snow Tuesday morning when she fell through ice on the Mississippi River. The dog paddled and clung onto the edge of the ice until she was rescued.
KWQC-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1tMWBac ) Dolly was partially paralyzed when she was removed from the water. Her owner, Jim Suitor, says the dog is now recovering and resting in her warm bed.
