CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a burglary suspect who was driving a stolen truck before a fatal shootout with Chandler police.

Police say 22-year-old Kenneth Arnold Buck had outstanding warrants and was considered armed and dangerous before he shot at Chandler officers on Monday afternoon.

Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but they say Buck ran a red light and then slid open the truck’s rear window before firing shots at police.

Officers returned fire and police say Buck was struck by several bullets and died at the scene.

Police say the three officers involved in the shooting escaped injury.
