ELKO, Nev. (AP) - Whether it’s city sewer service or the Elko Regional Airport, officials Nevada’s northeastern city are inviting public input at a City Council workshop focusing on short-term and long-range budget goals.

The special 2 p.m. Tuesday meeting at City Hall aims to also look at public safety, parks and recreation, public works, plus administrative and technical services, transportation and water infrastructure.

Assistant City Manager Scott Wilkinson tells the Elko Daily Free Press (https://bit.ly/1Hztbie ) the idea of an annual strategic planning workshop is to set priorities for programs and funding.

Wilkinson says it’s all part of the budget process.
