WASHINGTON (AP) - The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority says its bus service is experiencing delays because of winter weather.
Metro said Tuesday morning that bus service is operating on a “moderate” snow service plan. That means many bus routes are only operating on major roadways to keep buses off of hilly terrain and narrow side streets as well as out of other problem areas.
Metro is asking travelers to allow additional time if using bus service Tuesday.
Metro has routes in Washington, Montgomery and Prince George’s counties in Maryland and northern Virginia.
