BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - Biloxi celebrated Twelfth Night in style with a float ride from the Biloxi Visitors Center to the Mardi Gras Museum.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1Khk9ZD ) the holiday lights were turned off at the Biloxi Lighthouse on Monday, and light were turned on at the museum to signify the beginning of Carnival season.

The city says the occasion serves as a reminder of the religious significance of carnival.
