SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Police officers in Sioux Falls issued 346 tickets overnight for cars parked in emergency routes and a snow removal area.

Police spokesman Sam Clemens tells the Argus Leader (https://argusne.ws/1BHnoU6 ) that cars blocking emergency routes can be ticketed and towed immediately.

The fine for parking on an emergency snow route after 2 inches of snow has fallen is $35 and increases to $70 if not paid after seven days without filing an appeal.
