DELHI, La. (AP) - The westbound lane of Interstate 20, at mile marker 153 in Delhi, will be closed for about a month while Denbury Onshore replugs an old oil well in the median.

Traffic diversions to the eastbound lane of I-20 began Monday.

The News-Star reports (https://tnsne.ws/13UhuU7 ) Denbury will cover all costs related to the detour and traffic control.

The company, in a news release, said Denbury personnel are re-entering and replugging Roy Snyder No. 1 oil well to “comply with modern standards, including safety standards, as part of its ongoing development of the Delhi Field.”

Ross Campbell, manager of investor relations, says the 14,000-acre field is producing about 6,000 barrels of oil per day and supports about 200 direct and indirect jobs.
