CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (AP) - Eastbound Interstate 8 is again open in the Casa Grande area following a second closure due to an accident-related fire.
Authorities had partially reopened eastbound I-8 at Stanfield Road after the fire was put the first time following the non-injury accident early Wednesday morning.
The Department of Public Safety said the fire then started up again, forcing closure of both eastbound lanes.
The latest word from DPS is that both lanes are open once again.
DPS says the accident occurred when a pickup collided with a tractor-trailer rig. The big rig then caught fire.
