MILLSBORO, Del. (AP) - A Rehoboth Beach man has been arrested for a third DUI offense after Delaware State Police say he hit a police cruiser.

Police say 44-year-old Eric Biase was driving on U.S. Route 113 in Millsboro when he lost control of his car and hit a marked state police cruiser stopped at a traffic light.

No one was injured, including a 29-year-old woman in Biase’s car.

Police say troopers smelled alcohol coming from Biase after the wreck and then found 18 grams of marijuana and a glass pipe in his car during a search. Biase was then charged with DUI, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police say he has previously been convicted of DUI twice, once in 1999 and again in 2010.

It’s unclear whether Biase has an attorney.
