JACKSBORO, Tenn. (AP) - An East Tennessee man who was arrested in South Carolina last month has been indicted on murder and kidnapping charges in the death of a 49-year-old woman.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said 44-year-old Lonnie Lee Vann was charged in an indictment Wednesday with first-degree murder and kidnapping and served in jail in South Carolina. He is being held on $1 million bond on the new charges and awaiting extradition back to Campbell County.

Online jail records didn’t indicate whether he has a lawyer.

The TBI said Rhonda Daugherty of Campbell County disappeared Dec. 2 from her home.

Vann was placed on the TBI Top Ten Most Wanted list on two armed robbery counts and was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on Dec. 12.
