YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Sean Sellers sank a 3-pointer in the final seconds of overtime to give Ball State a 60-59 edge over Eastern Michigan in the Mid-American Conference opener for both teams Wednesday night.

Ball State capitalized on cold first-half shooting by the Eagles (11-3, 0-1) to lead 22-20 at the break.

Eastern Michigan responded early in the second half with a 9-1 run capped by back-to-back dunks by Karrington Ward to lead 32-23 with 13:25 to play. Sellers made a layup to tie it, 48-48, with 1:20 remaining and then Jeremiah Davis sent the game into overtime on a tip shot with 49 seconds left in regulation.
