HOUSTON (AP) - Police have captured two suspects after a vehicle chase led to Houston and both men jumped more than 20 feet from a highway to the grass below.

The chase ended late Thursday morning as live TV coverage showed the men abandoning a minivan, throwing themselves over a highway barrier, falling to the ground and then running.

Both were caught in a nearby neighborhood.

Investigators say the chase started in suburban Pearland after police received a call about suspicious people in a neighborhood. A Pearland officer tried to pull over a vehicle carrying the suspects, but the minivan sped away.

One of the apprehended suspects required medical attention. Police didn’t immediately say if he was injured in the fall.

Further details weren’t immediately available.
