RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A North Carolina man has won $1 million in the Virginia Lottery’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle.

The lottery says in a news release that Dallas Eccles of Clemmons, North Carolina, claimed his prize on Wednesday. He bought the winning ticket at a store in Ridgeway.

Eccles says in the release that he doesn’t have any immediate plans for the prize money.

His ticket is one of three $1 million tickets sold for the raffle.

Sharon Mayes of Courtland claimed her prize on Monday. She bought her ticket in Petersburg.

A winning ticket also was sold in Norfolk. That prize hasn’t been claimed.

Six $25,000 winning tickets and 300 tickets that won $500 also were sold for the raffle.
