SHORELINE, Wash. (AP) - A day after the Shoreline School District closed all 14 schools because of a report of a man with a gun, the schools in the district just north of Seattle are reopening with extra security.

KIRO reports (https://bit.ly/1s8xZr8 ) at least one officer is posted at every school Thursday.

A food service employee spotted the man carrying a firearm Wednesday morning near Meridian Park Elementary.

The district locked down all its schools and sent students home when officials felt it was safe.

The man with a gun was not found.
