LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The bitterly cold temperatures have led several school districts in Kentucky to cancel classes.

Media reported several districts in central and eastern Kentucky were closed Thursday or running on a delayed scheduled. At least one district made a last minute decision to cancel classes because it couldn’t keep buses running in the cold weather.

Temperatures around the state hovered near 0 on Thursday morning. The forecast calls for highs to reach around 20 degrees in much of the state.
