DEKALB, Miss. (AP) - Emilia Resources LLC, a cosmetics production facility in DeKalb, has added back 13 displaced workers in the past two weeks.

In November, the company laid off at least 30 employees because of a delay in the shipment of ingredients overseas that are needed to make the company’s products.

Emilia Resources plant manager Roy Davis tells The Meridian Star (https://bit.ly/1AuhiH1 ) that supplies needed to ramp up production began arriving from the parent company, Emilia Cosmetics in Israel.

Davis says he rehired five people two weeks ago and is adding eight more this week.

Pharma Pac had manufactured products at the DeKalb plant until it closed its production line in March of 2014. Emilia Cosmetics purchased the facility in April and restored operations in May.

The company now has 42 workers.
