BUFFALO, Wyo. (AP) - One person was seriously hurt and several others injured as blowing snow contributed to a series of accidents on Interstate 90 in northern Wyoming.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol closed I-90 between Buffalo and Sheridan after the accidents late Thursday morning. The road remained closed throughout the afternoon.

Patrol officials say around 18 passenger vehicles and five commercial trucks were involved in a still-unknown number of crashes. Several dozen other vehicles slid off the road.
