BEAVERTON, Ore. (AP) - A Beaverton man who was secretly filmed beating his two boys has been sentenced to nearly six years in prison after pleading guilty to mistreatment and attempted assault.

KPTV reports (ttp://is.gd/SYD2UF) a former friend of Samoul Nang and the boys’ mother, Singa Rogers, got suspicious about the bruises and black eyes she saw on the boys, ages 5 and 3, so she hid cameras to document the abuse.

Court documents say the video showed Nang choking, slapping, kicking and biting the 5-year-old, and Rogers slapping and kicking him.

Court documents say Rogers told investigators she saw Nang hit the 3-year-old in the face with a fist and choke him.

She pleaded guilty in November and was sentenced to two years. Nang pleaded guilty Thursday.

The boys went into state custody.
