BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Burlington police are asking for help from the public to let them know if they saw any suspicious activity in the Greene Street area the day before a 23-year-old man was found dead in an apartment.

Specifically investigators want to know about any suspicious activity, people, sounds, or vehicles in the area beginning at about 7:15 a.m. Jan. 2.

The body of 23-year-old Kevin DeOliveira was found in his Greene Street apartment on Jan. 3 after he had not been heard from. An autopsy found he died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

Burlington Police Chief Michael Schirling says more than 35 state and federal investigators are working the case. The federal agencies include the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and The Drug Enforcement Administration.
