MERIDIAN, Miss. (AP) - A 50-year-old Meridian man has died from the extreme cold.

Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler said Friday that Nathaniel Brown was found at his home about 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Cobler said the house had no heat.

Cobler says Brown’s core temperature was below 80 degrees when he was found and continued to drop. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
