GEORGETOWN, Del. (AP) - A Delaware woman has been charged with her sixth DUI.

Delaware State Police said Friday that 34-year-old Ginger Velasquez of Georgetown was arrested and charged after a trooper saw her rapidly accelerate her car, causing the tires to spin. The trooper stopped Velasquez, who police say smelled of alcohol.

Velasquez was arrested after a DUI investigation ensued. She was charged with DUI, driving on a suspended or revoked license and spinning tires.

Police say she has previously been convicted of DUI five times between 2002 and 2012.

It’s unclear whether Velasquez has an attorney. Her phone number is unlisted.
