BROWNSVILLE, Vt. (AP) - Firefighters say the low temperatures made it more difficult to fight a fire that destroyed the base lodge of the former Ascutney Mountain Resort.

The Valley News reports (https://bit.ly/1yJn6ON) no one was hurt in the fire in Brownsville, Vermont, Thursday. A few firefighters were treated for fatigue and dehydration.

The lodge was not in regular use at the time of the fire. The cause was not immediately known.
