LOS ANGELES (AP) - Four Los Angeles police officers and a city firefighter were treated for possible carbon monoxide poisoning after they tried to save a suicidal man in the showroom of a car dealership.

Officer Sarah Faden says the man apparently left a car running for some time inside Exclusive Motors on West Pico Boulevard in an effort to kill himself.

The first responders were exposed as they pulled the man from the dealership.

Faden says the five were treated at a hospital, but not admitted. Their injuries are not life-threatening.

The condition of the man they rescued was not immediately known.
