SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Police say a man who was shot early Friday in Spokane is in critical condition with a chest wound but is expected to survive.

Detectives believe the victim was acquainted with the shooter, but witnesses at the scene have not been forthcoming.

Officers responded to a shooting about 1 a.m. and found the victim on the porch of a house, near the corner of Bridgeport and Napa.

A bullet also went through the front window of a home.
