COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Police in central Ohio are searching for a woman who they say nabbed two French bulldog puppies from separate pet stores over the weekend.
Authorities say the first dog was stolen on Sunday at a Petland store in Pickerington. Police say the woman asked to see 3-month-old Marcus and took off with the puppy when a worker wasn’t looking.
Marcus was returned unharmed Tuesday evening after someone called the store and told employees that the dog was in a backpack behind the store. Authorities don’t know who made the call.
A second puppy, Nemo, is still missing after it was swiped in a similar incident at a Dublin Petland on Sunday.
Authorities say the dog has a microchip.
