COOS BAY, Ore. (AP) - A grand jury in Coos County, Oregon, has indicted two men in the death of a 49-year-old man whose body was found last weekend in tidal mudflats near a wastewater treatment plant.

The World newspaper reports (https://is.gd/c7OU6t ) that two Coos Bay residents, 36-year-old Shawn Yamate and 28-year-old Christopher Gonzales were both charged with murder in the death of Forest Franklin Martin, whose body was found Saturday by the Empire Wastewater Plant .

Coos County District Attorney Paul Frasier said Yamate has also been charged with witness tampering, while Gonzales has also been charged with second-degree assault.

An autopsy had been scheduled for Tuesday, but Frasier said scheduling issues have delayed it until Thursday.
