EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio (AP) - Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting in northeast Ohio.
Cleveland police say an officer shot and wounded a man Tuesday night during a traffic stop in East Cleveland after the man pulled out a weapon.
Police say members of the Gang Impact Squad were looking for a man wanted on several felony warrants, and got a tip he was in the area. When they stopped his vehicle and ordered him out, they say the man produced a weapon and an officer shot him.
The man was taken to a hospital in stable condition. He was treated for a graze wound on his right side. His name was not immediately released. No officers were injured.
East Cleveland police and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation are investigating.
