PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A Multnomah County sheriff’s officer says the body of a missing jet skier has been recovered from the north Portland harbor.

Lt. Steve Alexander said the body recovered Tuesday has been identified as that of 25-year-old George Walker of Portland. He was reported missing last Saturday after he was thrown from his jet ski on the Columbia River.

The cause of death is under investigation.

Alexander said a kayaker spotted the body near a log boom and river patrol deputies recovered it.

The body was turned over to the county medical examiner’s office.
