BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Two people were injured in a collision involving a minivan and a Bismarck police car.

The Highway Patrol says the van crashed into the passenger side of the squad car at an intersection Thursday afternoon. Authorities say the police officer was responding to a call and had activated his car’s emergency lights and siren.

The officer was not hurt.

The van’s driver and a passenger were taken to a hospital with injuries that authorities say are not life-threatening. Both are from Fort Yates. The patrol has forwarded the case to the Burleigh County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
