DUNDALK, Md. (AP) - A 31-year-old man has been arrested after police say they believe he was making explosives inside his Dundalk apartment.

Police say William Osborne was charged with manufacture and possession of a destructive device and possession of explosive material with intent to create a destructive device after authorities visited his apartment on July 8 for an investigation.

Police say while there, they noticed several suspicious materials.

The Baltimore County Police Department Hazardous Device Unit was called in and obtained a search warrant. Authorities say officers recovered firearms, ammunition, military books, two improvised destructive devices and various chemicals. Investigators say some of the items could be used to make explosives.

Osborne is being held at the Baltimore County jail. It was unclear if he has an attorney.

The incident remains under investigation.
