COVINGTON, La. (AP) - The St. Tammany Parish School Board has unanimously approved a contract extension for schools Superintendent Trey Folse. Coupled with the year remaining on his current contract, NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports (https://bit.ly/1grRNkB) the extension means Folse will remain at the helm through July 1, 2019.

Board members said the contract extension follows a stellar performance review for Folse, who has led the 38,000-student district since 2010.

Folse’s compensation package remains unchanged. At the time his last extension, Folse’s salary was $170,000. He also receives a $1,200-per-month car allowance.
