GENTRY, Ark. (AP) - The National Weather Service says a tornado has likely touched down in northwestern Arkansas. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
Meterologist Brad McGavock says video footage suggests the storm that hit Thursday near Gentry, in Benton County, was a tornado.
He says crews will survey the area Friday.
Dispatch supervisor Marty Wunderle says the Benton County Sheriff’s Office has received a report that one home was struck and sustained “fairly heavy” damage. But he says no one inside was hurt.
He says other damage reports include downed trees all over the county.
