ST. JAMES, Mo. (AP) - Authorities are searching a heavily-wooded area in central Missouri for a missing boy who has autism.

KRCG-TV (https://bit.ly/1Ts5Pku ) reports that the 13-year-old boy disappeared Thursday night from a Phelps County home, along with an 11-year-old who has since been found.

Sgt. Cody Fulkerson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said that the younger boy was walking along a creek Friday when he was spotted by a member of the patrol’s Marine Division. The 11-year-old was in good health but told officers he hadn’t seen the 13-year-old boy for several hours.

Fulkerson said a patrol helicopter and numerous officers are part of the search. He said the missing boy has a history of wandering off.
