FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - A ghost bike ceremony is being held Saturday to honor a 59-year-old Fort Collins bicyclist who died after being hit by a dump truck.

Steve Studt died Sunday from multiple injuries after he was hit June 26. Ghost Bike ceremonies are memorials held for bicyclists who are killed or hit while riding.

Authorities say the driver of the truck attempted to pass Studt, but oncoming vehicles forced the truck driver back into Studt’s lane. Studt was thrown under the truck’s rear tires.

No charges have been filed against the truck driver.

According to the Fort Collins Coloradoan (https://tinyurl.com/ou9chen), there have been five cyclists fatally struck by vehicles in Larimer County since 2013 and two in the past month.
