DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) - Clarke University in Dubuque has received a nearly $2 million grant it will use to develop an advanced-practice nurse program.

The Dubuque Telegraph Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1O1zzSq ) that the three-year, $1.9 million grant to the university’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program comes from the federal Health Resources and Services Administration.

The university says more advanced-practice nurses are needed in rural and other underserved areas.
