SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Contraband surveillance watches, often informally called “potty watches,” have been used 1,200 times in the 2 ½ years since the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s inspector general began keeping track in mid-2012, producing results 41 percent of the time. Of the 1,200 watches, 837 were completed in less than three days; 303 in three- to six days; 35 in six- to nine days; and 25 took longer than nine days.
