HONOLULU (AP) - The National Weather Service says the heat index for Honolulu this weekend could get close to 100 degrees in the afternoons.
KITV-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1GerWla ) that the remnants of Tropical Storm Ela will move across the islands, adding humidity and increasing the discomfort of high temperatures.
Ela will also bring light winds, dew points in the mid-70s and possibly afternoon showers.
Stronger winds and lower humidity are expected early next week.
