NEPHI, Utah (AP) - Utah wildlife officials are seeking a bear carcass they say was illegally obtained in Nephi.

KUTV in Salt Lake City reports (https://bit.ly/1TsBWR1) that the Division of Wildlife Resources is searching for someone who stole a bear carcass.

Authorities say the bear was hit by a vehicle Friday night on Highway 132 near Nephi Canyon.

But when authorities arrived to retrieve the bear’s body, it was missing.

They say someone likely picked it up illegally.

The Division of Wildlife Resources is asking anyone with information to contact the agency.
