BRUNEAU, Idaho (AP) - The Bureau of Land Management believes two new wildfires near Bruneau were started by lightning on Saturday.

The Idaho Statesman reports (https://is.gd/exkvZK ) one of the fires burned about 300 acres south of Bruneau before it was put out by fire crews.

A second fire about 20 miles to the south, burned about 1,000 acres in a few hours.

The Bureau of Land Management says no structures were threatened and no one was injured by the fires.
