Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump tweeted and promptly deleted a patriotic image of his face next to the White House and soldiers Tuesday, after Twitter users pointed out one glaring issue.

The soldiers glorified in the image, complete with illustrations of U.S. money and the U.S. flag, are actually wearing patches of the Waffen SS.

Mr. Trump’s tweet also featured the hashtag #MakeAmericaGreatAgain.

Michael Niemerg appeared to have first spotted the gaffe. The post was deleted a few minutes later, but not before gathering nearly 800 retweets.
