VALLEY, Ala. (AP) - Police say they have arrested a man suspected in the death of a Georgia woman whose body was found in a creek.

Multiple news outlets report that police arrested 45-year-old Stacey Demar Gray late Monday in Notasulga, Ala. He is being held at the Chambers County jail near the Alabama-Georgia border.

Online court records do not list an attorney for Gray.

Police have said 25-year-old Renee Eldridge of Columbus, Georgia went missing during the July 4 holiday weekend.

Her body was found July 7 in Osanippa Creek in eastern Alabama. Authorities have said Eldridge died of blunt force trauma to the head.
