BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A group that funds developers of North Dakota farm products will consider grant requests totaling more than $587,000 at its quarterly meeting next week in Medora.

The Agricultural Products Utilization Commission will review five requests on July 21.

Among the groups making requests is North Dakota State University’s Department of Animal and Range Sciences which is requesting $50,000 to study whether cows in western North Dakota’s oil patch are exposed to dust-borne chemicals such as carcinogens.
