KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say a case of road rage on Interstate 80 near Kearney led to the arrest of an eastern Nebraska man.

The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office tells the Kearney Hub (https://bit.ly/1CBUmuG ) it received a report Friday night of a man in a pickup waving a gun and trying to run a vehicle carrying a couple and their two children off I-80.

A deputy later stopped a pickup driven by 44-year-old Daniel Rodgers, of Valley, and saw a paintball-type gun in the truck. Rodgers denied waving the gun at the other motorist, saying he only made obscene gestures.

Rodgers is charged with making terroristic threats and refusing to submit to an alcohol test.

He is free on $1,000 bond. His attorney did not immediately return a message left Tuesday.
