ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - Police say a man allegedly shot and killed his wife inside a home in southeast Roseburg.

The News-Review reports (https://bit.ly/1HHCr1k ) 40-year-old David Ryan Kelley called police Monday to report that he had shot and killed his wife, 42-year-old Ginette Duvall.

When police officers arrived at the scene, officers had to negotiate with Kelley over the phone for serval hours before he eventually came out of the residence.

Officers found Duvall dead inside the home from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.

Kelley has been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to the Douglas County jail.

The Douglas County Major Crimes Team is investigating the shooting.
